ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has requested Chief Justice of Pakistan and lawyers community to take notice of government action against “peaceful protesters”.
The PTI chief was addressing the protesters at D Chowk on Tuesday (today) morning. Usually he addresses the PTI protesters in the evening but today he addressed them in the morning.
Imran demanded that CJ Supreme Court of Pakistan Nasir Ul Mulk take notice of the government’s action against “peaceful protesters. We would not be able to stop charged youth if the government action was not stopped”.
He stressed the judiciary and lawyers community to save democracy as “we launched a historic movement for freedom of judiciary in 2007?.
Imran informed the protesters that since Friday night police had been taking action against his peaceful protesters, torturing, arresting and robbing them of their belongings. “It is a clear violation of the law because the PTI protesters have not not taken law into their hands so far,” he said.
The PTI head said that as many as 30,000 police personnel have been deployed in Islamabad for peaceful protests “whereas Karachi where 10 killings a day is a routine, the government has not used force as it is doing here”.
Imran said that Nawaz Sharif has been using police against peaceful protesters to continue his illegal government which was established on “fake mandate”.
Cricketer-turned-politician Imran roared at IG Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan and declared him “a pet of Sharif family” and reiterated that he “will not leave IG unpunished over illegal use of force against peaceful protesters”.
Imran said that people of Pakistan have woken up as yesterday night people threw out a PML-N member of assembly and a senator over delay of flight.
