Seoul: Samsung is gearing for another surprise next year, as company is eyeing to launch first ever flexible OLED television.

Samsung introduced the world’s first flexible display smartphone Samsung Galaxy Round while now eyeing to introduce flexible display television.

According to Korea Times report, we may see a flexible OLED TV from Samsung early next month at CES. Samsung has not officially commented on the report but the things we know for now comes from an “industry official” who says that a prototype of the flexible OLED TV will be shown at next month’s CES.

The TV will use a plastic-based OLED display along with a “back panel that can deform the display”. The TV’s flexibility will be controlled by a remote control, thus giving users the liberty to adjust the viewing angle of TV, unlike the current range of curved OLED TVs.

Meanwhile in the same report, Samsung’s competitor LG has confirmed that they “will also unveil a remote bendable OLED TV that hasn’t been seen before”.
