Monty Python reunion for a stage show

A stage show by Monty Python group – this is so gonna happen real soon.

Terry Jones, one of the group members, confirmed it to BBC, “we’re getting together and putting on a show — it’s real,” and added “I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!”

Eric Idle, another group member, hinted the news on social media platform, Twitter. He tweeted:

Only three days to go till the Python Press Conference. Make sure Python fans are alerted to the big forthcoming news event.

And then his next tweet almost confirmed it for all the fans waiting eagerly.

As mentioned by Idle, the official announcement will be on Thursday at a press conference in London. You can watch it on Sky News.

Monty Python tasted their first bit of fame with the TV show, Month Python’s Flying Circus. And then they went for movies like “Life of Brain” and “Holy Grail”. After that we never saw any stage show from the group.

This group consisted of six members but unfortunately Graham Chapman died because of cancer in 1989. The remaining five last performed as a group in 1998.

Here are the names of six members of Monty Python; Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin.

Monty Python, also known as The Pythons, created over forty five episodes, divided in four series, of their epic show Monty Python’ Flying Circus. On 5 October 1989, the show debuted on BBC.

Industry loved the group as much as the audiences. In a 2005 UK survey titled “The Comedian’s Comedian”, three group members made it to the list of top 50 greatest comedians. Cleese grabbed the 2nd position; Idle was placed at 21 while Palin got the 30th spot.
