Moscow: Windows phone giant Nokia will unwrap its first ever phablet in its upcoming event in Moscow, according to report.

According to reports Nokia will be introducing its 6 inch on 28 August in Moscow event.

The latest buzz is that the impending AT&T-bound Full HD phablet will tout a powerful processor, namely the Snapdragon 800, while future entry-level and mid-range Lumia smartphones will boast the Snapdragon 200 and 400, respectively.

This information comes courtesy of Nokiapoweruser who spotted the Bluetooth certification filings on Bluetooth Special Interest Group (BSIG). The AT&T variant of the Bandit phablet has the model number RM-940 and falls under the QDID category, which basically lists the latest Snapdragon processors that will power upcoming Lumia phones.

“A recent entry on Bluetooth SIG is for RM-940, which is the future AT&T bound Lumia revealed by ‘Adduplex data.’ This device has a resolution of 1080p confirming its status as to be the Nokia Phablet for AT&T. There are more variants of this RM-940 confirming its status as a world device as well,” reports Nokiapoweruser. “RM-940 has got listed at BSIG with new QDID which has processors listed as MSM8974; MSM8x26; MSM8926; MSM8x10; MSM8916; MSM8x12; APQ8074.”

Not only is the Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor listed, but also Snapdragon 400 (MSM8x10; MSM8916) and Snapdragon 200 (MSM8x10; MSM8916; MSM8x12). Interestingly, no processor in the Snapdragon 600 category is listed in the filing.

The Snapdragon 200 and 400 processors  suggest that Nokia would deploy them in impending entry-level and mid-range models, respectively, which will likely launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

Recently, The Verge’s sources let on that Nokia’s first-ever phablet (as well as the first WP8 phablet) was in the works and would tout a 6-inch 1080p display, as well as a Snapdragon quad-core processor. The Bandit phablet would have a polycarbonate body and feature a 20-megapixel primary camera.

The mid-range Nokia smartphone with the dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor could possibly be the rumored Lumia 825 or Lumia 729.

Nokia 825 Windows 8-powered smartphone is believed to sport a 5.2-inch display with 720p resolution. A quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor was expected to power the upcoming Nokia phablet.

Both the Lumia 825 and Bandit phablet are speculated to launch in tandem with the GDR3 Windows Phone update (slated for the end of the year). The software update is expected to bring support for higher resolutions and more processor cores.

With Nokia staying mum on the impending devices, we’ll have to wait and see what the Aug. 28 event has in store for us.
