Pakistan beat South Africa by six runs in the second Twently20 to levelled the two-match series 1-1 here in Cape Town on Friday.
All-rounder Shahid Afridi picked up three wickets as Pakistan restricted the hosts six runs short of the total.
Pakistan had lost the first game by four runs through the Duckworth Lewis Method.
Hashim Amla and JP Duminy’s knocks went in vain as Sohail Tanveer bowled a superb last over. South Africa needed 17 runs from last over but could manage only 11 runs off it.
Earlier, Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez won the toss and elected to bat first. Hafeez and Umar Akmal went on a six-hitting spree as the green shirts piled up 176 for four.
Hafeez hit 63 off 41 balls with three sixes and Akmal hammered 64 off 38 deliveries.
