ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has clarified his stance over execution order to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday.
PM has been informed by the policy of President over non implementation of execution of prisoners while new president and government could take any decision after consultation.
While meeting with PM Sharif in Islamabad, President Zardari clarified that implementation on execution order should not made in accordance to Pakistan People’s Party police.
Zardari said that he possessed policy for delaying death penalty during his five-year tenure and wished the continuation of the theological policy until his presence.
President stated that government is allowed to review the decision as new president will take charge of the post on September 9.
However, in honour of President’s desire, PM directed the Interior Minister to hold implementation on execution orders of the prisoners declared for death penalty.
