Rafal Nadal has taken the decision of staying away from the tennis court for a while. And the reason for this break is “Poker”.
The 27 year old tennis star wants to try his luck in poker. He is going to Prague to participate in his very first live poker tournament.
He registered in Czech Republic for the live charity poker tournament in December 12; it was part of European Poker Tour.
Nadal has taken his new role seriously and he is busy in training with a coach. He is taking the sport way too seriously.
He said, “It’s no secret that I love the competition and that’s what I like about poker.”
He described his perspective of poker too, “It’s a game of skill that requires mental strength and the ability to out-think your opponents and in that way there are similarities to tennis. I have been playing poker online for almost 18 months and now I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing my first live tournament..”
