Seoul: As South Korean technological giant Samsung preparing to unwrap its flagship device Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in September, a report claims that company will introduce not one but two devices together.
Since the beginning of the year, clues and rumors are coming about the smartwatch, now according to that report Samsung have setup to introduce a smartwatch with Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung has scheduled an Unpacked event on September 4 in Berlin where the company will officially introduce the world to its next-generation Galaxy Note 3 phablet. The Note 3 isn’t the only device Samsung will announce at the event, however, as the company will also introduce its first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear.
We have been inundated with rumored specs and features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3. The most recent reports claim the phablet will sport a 5.7-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD Super AMOLED display, an octa-core or quad-core processor, and 3GB of RAM to provide a fast and smooth user experience. Samsung has been able to keep the Galaxy Gear smartwatch under wraps, but a new report is revealing the reportedly official specs of the device.
SamMobile is reporting that it has received an anonymous tip detailing the specs of Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch. According to the tipster, the Galaxy Gear will use a 320×320 (3cm×3cm – 1.67-inches) AMOLED display, but the source cannot confirm if the smartwatch will use a Samsung flexible display as previous rumors have suggested. The Galaxy Gear will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 4212 1.5GHz dual-core processor and will also include an ARM Mali-400 MP4 graphics processing unit (GPU).
There is no mention of internal storage, but the report claims the Galaxy Gear will include 1GB of RAM. The smartwatch will also be packing its own 2-megapixel camera. In terms of its wireless capabilities the source claims the Galaxy Gear will include Bluetooth and NFC. The smartwatch will likely use NFC and Bluetooth to pair the device with a Galaxy smartphone and notifications from the smartphone will be sent to the Galaxy Gear using one of those wireless protocols.
We’ll likely hear more about the Galaxy Gear as we get closer to September. As always, it is best to take any of these reports with a huge grain of salt.
