According to reports Sony will discuss its release plans for the PlayStation 4 PS4 in a press conference at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany next week.
Annual gaming extravaganza, which will be hosted by Sony, has seemingly confirmed an official release date will be slipped during the address.
In a post on the UK PlayStation blog, Sony wrote: “We’ll kick off the show at 18:00 BST [1PM EDT, 10AM PDT] on 20 August 2013 with a briefing to media on our release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.”
Sony is one of the leading producers of gaming devices and known for surprising people with its gadgets and also known for graphics and quality display. The company gets the great response at the launch of its flagship gaming device PlayStation 3.
We already know that PS4 will have the ability to track both controllers in gamer’s hand as well as face. This technology works just the old multi-player standby of split screen, dividing up television real state when two or more players go at it. The same tech tracking technology will be added to the upcoming console. If a gamer gets up and moves right or left, his section of the screen will automatically be swapped.
According to Sony PS4 will run its own games as well as PlayStation 3.
The focus of Sony is now more on buildig gaming network than just selling devices.”By combining PlayStation 4, PlayStation Network, and social platforms our vision is to create the first social network with meaning dedicated to games,” said David Perry, the chief of Gaikai purchased last year by Sony, during the launching event.
The world is now dominated by smartphones and tablets where cloud gaming is more popular. Routine gaming practices by big players are not going to be fruitful any more.
Reading this change on time, Sony has shifted its strategy to remain relevant in the market in future.
A button has been made part of the new console which will let users instantly stream their gaming action with real world friends and even they will be able to get help when stuck at some point.
Keeping in view of Nintendo Wii U experience, Sony has teamed up with leading gaming engines, networks, gamers, animators and artists for the mind blowing gaming experience for the users.
Routine games are no more an appealing factor for the tech lovers. They need something really new and Sony is expected to come up with ‘really’ something new.
The System will run on a single chip custom processor and utilizes eight x86-64 AMD Jaguar CPU cores, with a next-gen AMD Radeon based graphics engine powering the way.
This new system is much more based on PC which is great news for the Sony fans. It allows the coders to code games for the next generation consoles and for PCs.
As far as the memory is concerned Sony’s Play Station 4 is expected to have an 8 GB of GDDR5 memory which enables lightning fast performance.
We are also looking at Blu-ray disk support plus DVD, HDMI output support as well as Analog-AV out and an optical digital output in the console.
The development of PS4 Eye, a new camera system that utilizes two high-sensitivity camera with wide angle lens of 85 degree and 1280 x 800 pixel x 2 video pixels, must be a refreshing thing for gaming lovers.
The PS4′s 64-bit x86 architecture and 8GB of GDDR5 memory blow its predecessor out of the water, its Blu-ray drive will be three times faster.
According to Sony, the new PS4 will play the 4K/Ultra HD videos or play 4K games at 4K resolution.
The PS4 will have an instant on/off feature allowing it to shut down during the game and then boot up from scratch in seconds and resume it where you left off
As far as the price of PS4 is concerned, it will be available around with $450/£399. A UK-based sell and purchase site has posted PS4 availability from Dec 31 with a price up to 399 pounds. Succeed
Since launching the console in February 2013, Sony has refused to drawn beyond its vague “Holiday 2013″ release window, but most observers expect a launch in November in order to meet the Christmas rush.
Sony is coming up with its greatest gaming device ever. However it will also be in a competition against its rival Xbox, which is also preparing to launch Xbox 720.
