Major General (R) Ehtisham Zameer Dies

RAWALPINDI -Major General (R) Ehtesham Zamir dies in Rawalpindi, Funeral of which to be offered in Bahria Town Phase four at 1730 PST on Monday.

According to initials reports to The News Tribe, the funeral prayer of Major General (R) Ehtesham Zamir will be offered in Bahria Town phase four in Rawalpindi at 1730 PST.

He was the son of the Zamir Jafri born at Chak Abdul Khaliq, Jhelum, who became famous for his Urdu humorous poetry and also wrote humorous columns in the newspapers and periodicals.

Major General Ehtesham Zamir was determined to carry on the legacy of his father to serve the nation.

He started operating a Non Profit Foundation, Syed Zamir Jafri Foundation, which provides many high profile required services to the nation.

The services offered by the Non Profit Foundation includes Medical assistance, educational means, awareness, legal Aid, development of the literary institution and other miscellaneous services to strengthen the underprivileged communities of Pakistan.

The Major General was graduated from Islamia College, Lahore.
