LAHORE: As Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Azhar Ali as the skipper of One Day Internationals (ODI) but the hidden reality is a bit different appointing him the skipper.

According to senior sports journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti, Azhar who is the skipper of ODI side haven’t played a single one-day match in past 18 months.

He had been performing well for his side in domestic pent-angular tournament but he was dropped from the side when it reached the final of the tournament.

Following the lost in final the coach realised that he was performing well but dropping him in the final was wrong decision.

It is pertinent to mention here that Azhar has been very consistent with the bat in Test matches as well in ODIs which he played for Pakistan.

Now he is the skipper of the side let’s see how it goes for him.
