LAHORE: United States (US) government said that two of its four missions in Pakistan were currently closed for consular services including Peshawar and in Lahore.
According to reports, the US government issued the travel warning, the consulate in Lahore remains ‘temporarily closed’ for public services, six months after the mission had been closed for ‘renovations’ and its staff withdrawn due to terror threats.
The Department of State warns US citizens to defer all non-essential travel to Pakistan, it also replaced its Travel Warning dated August 8, 2014 and reminds US citizens of ongoing security concerns in Pakistan.
