Aitizaz Hasan, the boy who died while tackling a suicide bomber on 6th January, will receive “Sitara-e-Shujaat” for his bravery and courage.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the recommendation to honour Aitizaz with Sitare-e-Shujaat. Now the recommendation will be forwarded to President Mamnoon Hussain for approval.
A suicide bomber came to attack Aititazaz’s school, which happen to be the only one in Ibrahimzai, when there were more than 2000 students present. Aitizaz stopped him and died while protecting hundreds of innocent souls.
The official statement from police read, “The suicide bomber tried to enter the school where hundreds of students were studying. Aitizaz Hasan sacrificed his life and stopped the bomber with bravery and courage. He saved the lives of hundreds of innocent students with his extreme valour and bravery.”
