NEW DELHI- The Home Minister for India, Rajnath Singh, during his speech in Lok Sabha that we have credible reasons to believe that Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan, and we will bring him back at any cost on Monday.
Dawood Ibrahim, the don responsible for the Mumbai attacks of 1993 causing the death of 300 individuals, is in Pakistan and we have credible information for his presence, he added.
We would bring him back “no matter what the cost is”, he added. He said government has provided the documents to Pakistan regarding Dawood Ibrahim but Islamabad failed to take any action in this regard.
He declared to inflict pressure on Pakistan at every level to get him arrested.
This speech was given to defend the government against the criticism on it for not knowing the whereabouts of Dawood Ibrahim as revealed by the junior Home Minister, Haribhae Chaudary.
Who has negated his own statement and said that what he meant to say was that India knows that Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan but does not know the exact location.
Mr. Singh also mentioned that against Dawood Ibrahim, Red Notice issued by Interpol and Security Council’s special notice is pending since 1996 and 2006 respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that these proclamations came on the day next to the day when junior Home Minister declared his stance.
Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan, and we would not rest until we bring him back from Pakistan and provide justice to the victims of his attack, said Home Minister of India.
