Army Chief Reaches Noor Khan Base

RAWALPINDI – Chief Of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has reached Noor Khan air base in Rawalpindi.

The Army Chief reaches the air base as the dead bodies of Naltar accident are on their way to Islamabad. Senior civil and military officials are also present at the air base to express their condolences before sending the bodies to their homes.

According to ISPR, two pilots including four foreign ambassadors and their wives had died yesterday in the sad incident.

The two ambassadors were from Philippines and Norway, while the wives of ambassadors of Indonesia and Malaysia had lost their lives in the tragic incident in Pakistan’s North Western Gilgit Baltistan region on Friday.

The pilots who embraced martyrdom in the incident were Major Altamash and Major Faisal. The injured include the ambassadors from Lebanese envoy and High commissioners of many countries.

According to Foreign Office, this was the trip of the foreign ambassadors to the Naltar valley. Four Helicopters were taking them to the Naltar valley. Three landed safely while one crashed.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, announced one day mourning in the remembrance of this national loss.
