Bahrain’s Parliamentary Delegation Meets NA Speaker to Enhance Ties

Islamabad( Press Release)Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan accords high importance to its long-standing fraternal relations with Bahrain which are rooted in shared faith, believes and mutual traditions of Islamic brotherhood. He said that bilateral relations between both countries can be strengthened by expanding cooperation in the field of trade, investment and human resources development. He congratulated Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the kingdom of Bahrain and people of Bahrain on the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Independence of Bahrain. He expressed these views during a meeting with Ms. Fawzaia Bint Abdullah Zainal , Speaker Of the Council Of Representatives of the kingdom of Bahrain who arrived in Islamabad today along with a seven Member Parliamentary delegation.
Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistani diaspora was playing an important role in the socio-economic development of Bahrain as well as of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan has huge skilled manpower which would continue playing its vital role for the progress of Bahrain. He also expressed his gratitude to government of Bahrain for supporting Pakistani worker especially during the peak of Pandemic COVID-19. He also suggested for evolving a mutual mechanism of regular interaction between Ministries of Human Resource Development to benefit from each other’s expertise.


While stressing on enhancing bilateral trade between both countries, Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan offers great potential of exports in Agriculture, Food items, Livestock, fisheries and surgical items. He invited Bahraini investors and businessmen to invest as Pakistan offers business friendly environment for investors. While appraising about role of women in legislative process, he said that a large number of bills related to Rights of Women, Child and Special Persons had been passed by Parliament which had been mostly presented by Women Legislators. He said that women are more than half of our population and have significant role in national development. Talking about Afghanistan, he said that Pakistan desires to have peace, stable, and independent Afghanistan as its neighbor. Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the kingdom of Bahrain Ms. Fawzaia Bint Abdullah Zainal expressed gratitude for Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser for providing this opportunity to visit and have interaction with different dignitaries in Pakistan. She said that Bahrain values high its ties with Pakistan and desire their further consolidation. She acknowledged that Pakistani man-power has vital role to play for Socio-economic development of Bahrain. She said that Pakistan’s position in the countries of Muslim ummah is of paramount importance to bring all Muslim countries together. She said that parliamentary interaction between both countries would strengthen ties between both countries. Later on, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Parliaments for further cooperation in diverse sectors besides sharing international best parliamentary practices and experiences.
