MUMBAI: The Bollywood’s famous actor Hrithik Roshan on Friday has confirmed ending a 13 years long marital relationship with Sussanne Khan.
‘Krrish 3′ lead hero, Hrithik Roshan, has made confirmation announcement for the separation with his wife, Sussanne Khan, today followed by divorce.
The actor told the media that the divorce decision was taken by Sussanne; however the relation has ended now, Indian media reported.
Roshan married Sussanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan, on 20 December 2000 while the former couple has two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
The official statement said that “Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time,” Daily News & Analysis reported.
“I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way. I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honour it at the highest level…”
“And once again I thank my fans for all the concern and prayers for my health, my treatment is going well and I should be able to resume my life in every way very soon. Thank you”
The confirmation comes several months after rumours of the couple splitting started doing the rounds.
