LB elections: Counting underway as polling ends in Balochistan

Quetta: Polling for local bodies elections has been ended at 5 pm and the counting process of votes continues in Balochistan on Saturday

As many as eighteen thousand candidates are contesting in 4600 constituencies while 2507 candidates are already declared winners unopposed.

Five thousand eight hundred polling stations have been set up in 32 districts of the province.

Strict security arrangements had been made, while the day was declared as a public holiday facilitating voters to cast their votes in large numbers.

Under Section 144, pillion riding has been banned in the province until Dec 10.
