Letter to Editor — Education Budget

May 3, 2015 at 10:10 am | News Desk

It is unfortunate that our political leaders are not interested in education which can easily be perceived by our yearly budget for education that is only 2 per cent of the total budget.

Education is considered the cheapest way to get progress everywhere, but our government is not serious and sincere about the education in Pakistan. All praise and Thanks to God that Pakistan is not a poor country but this it quite pathetic to invest the minimal amount of fund to education sector.

Besides, icing on the cake that even this 2 per cent is not being consumed over education. Everyone there’s engaged in filling his own pocket and ‘Ghost Schools’ are showed on the maps to the concerned authorities and they don’t even get bothered to check them out by their own.

Well! The yearly budget for education should be around 15 per cent. If it was done we would observe a good change in our education system. This is how our nation could get progress.

Though, it is not the only hindrance in our good educational system but it can play a vital role in the progress of it.
