RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Commander Southern Lt General Nasir Khan Janjua on Thursday paid a visit to Afghanistan to meet his counterpart. Both the military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest including the Pakistan-Afghanistan security situation. They also deliberated over the recommendation about improving the border security.
Earlier, Corps Commander Peshawar had also visited Afghanistan on January 18.while Pakistan’s Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) Chief Gen. Rizwan Akhtar visited Kabul on 11th January to meet with Afghan officials including President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
According to the ISPR, the purpose of visits of military commanders is to better the coordination between militaries of both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
