Pak-Suzuki, Pakistan’ largest auto manufacturer, has introduced the new Suzuki Cultus on April 22, 2017. The car in question is aimed to bring more diversity in the locally manufactured 1000 cc car category. With its launch, Pak-Suzuki will be looking forward to curb the influence of imported cars in Pakistan. Market analysts predict that this new car from Pak-Suzuki will sit comfortably between WagonR and Swift and that Pak-Suzuki will have a complete range of products in the price range of product tiers including Mehran, WagonR, Cultus, Swift, Ciaz and a premium product – Suzuki Vitara.
It is important to highlight that Pak-Suzuki embarked on the journey to revise its product lineup back in 2016 by launching Suzuki Kizashi. Although only a handful of Kizashi units were imported and sold in the country, the fact remains that Pak-Suzuki followed it up by launching Vitara and Ciaz.
Information on New Cultus:
Known as Celerio, this car will be inheriting the name ‘Suzuki Cultus’ in Pakistan. This car was first unveiled by Suzuki on ‘Auto Expo 2014’ in India. Later on, it made its first appearance on ‘Geneva Motor Show’ in 2014. Celerio is a 4-door, front wheel drive hatchback and known as a budget-focused city car. Suzuki launched Celerio considering the growing need for a fuel-efficient family car. Pak-Suzuki will be launching this car in two variants: VXL & VXR. The VXL (top-of-the-line) variant is expected to feature airbags, electric steering, collapsible seats and ABS. The VXR variant is expected to be a standard version with a very approachable price tag.
