Washington: As we have already witness some of the remarkable devices at CES, Now Nokia is eyeing to introduce its another flagship smartphone Nokia Lumia Icon with 20-megapixel camera leaked with Verizon tag.
There were recent reports that suggested Nokia was working on a new Lumia smartphone for Verizon that would bring a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, quad-core processor and a new naming convention for the Lumia series.
The smartphone was believed to drop the usual number moniker Nokia has previously used for all of its Lumia devices and instead be officially called the Verizon Nokia Lumia Icon.
We now have further proof that Nokia has been developing a new smartphone for Verizon Wireless and it will be called the Lumia Icon. The carrier posted an image of the smartphone and information to one of its test sites (currently removed) on Wednesday, which seems to imply it’s getting ready to launch the Lumia Icon in the near future.
The information posted has revealed some of the Nokia Lumia Icon’s key specs and price. The price is listed as $777.00 with a new 2-year contract or $777.00 with month-to-month. When the smartphone is officially unveiled you can expect those prices to be very different.
The Verizon Nokia Lumia Icon is expected to feature a gorgeous 5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD AMOLED display and run Windows Phone 8 Update 3 with Lumia Black Update pre-installed. Just like the Lumia 1520, the Icon will use a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM to keep things running very smoothly. It will also ship with a high-end 20-megapixel PureView camera that Verizon confirms will use a single-finger zoom to make it easy to get closer to what you’re trying to capture. The carrier also listed the Lumia Icon as having a large non-removable 2,420 mAh battery and stereo sound.
The Lumia Icon is expected to be offered with 32GB of internal storage and some reports claim it will not include a microSD expansion slot to increase its storage.
As previously mentioned, Verizon has already removed all traces of the Nokia Lumia Icon from its test site but once we hear more about it, you will too.
