PML-N Khawaja Saad Rafique increases strictness on staff

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways ministry has terminated another leave day for its staff and subsidiary departments for continuation of official tasks during six days a week instead of five.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) belonged federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has axed Saturday’s vacation for Pakistan Railways (PR) staff and its subordinate sections in order to accelerate daily work load.

Sources closer to railway ministry said that the summary pertaining end of the Saturday’s leave has been approved by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Khawaja Saad Rafique thought his step will be helpful to counter increased workload due to Eid festival as well as increased efficiency will facilitate passengers willing to meet their relatives in distant areas, sources added.

However, formal notification has been released by PM Nawaz Sharif after approval of the summary for closure of vacation on Saturday.

According to new notification, PR and related departments will work for six days a week instead of five as the only vacation day is Sunday.
