NEW DELHI: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan had been stopped at Kolkata airport by the Immigration Department on Saturday due to incomplete documents.

According to details, PCB chairman was scheduled to enter in India via Delhi but he arrived at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.

Later he was released to enter in India after the involvement of Ministry of Home Affairs in the matter to clear his documents for immigration.

Yesterday, media reports confirmed that Shahryar Khan will arrive in Kolkata on Sunday to meet BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya with a proposal to organise a cricket series between the two fierce sporting rivals at a neutral venue.

The last series between India and Pakistan was held in 2012-13 when Pakistan visited India for a three-match One Day International and two-match Twenty20 International series. Pakistan had won the ODI series 2-1, while the T20 series ended 1-1.
