South Africa beat Sril Lanka by 12 runs in 1st T20

Colombo: Duminy and Parnell shines for South Africa to beat Sri Lanka by 12 runs in first of Twenty 20 (T20) international played at Premadasa Stadium.

Hosts in reply of 116 runs only manage to score 103 runs on loss of 9 wickets.Kumar Sangakkara’s unbeaten 59 could not help Sri Lanka to chase down a low total of 116 runs.

Jean Paul Duminy took 3 wickets while Wayne Parnell and Morne Morkel manage to take 2 wickets wach for South Africa.

Earlier: South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. South Africa loss top 4 batsmen with in 50 runs on board. Jean Paul Duminy played a vital hand of 51 runs and at that moment to stable South Africa while David Miller scored quick 27 to guide South Africa to score 115 runs.

Sachitra Senanayake took 3 wickets while Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga manage to take one wicket each.
