KARACHI: Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Irfan Bahadur has succeeded the top post of CID’s anti-terrorism cell, six days after assassination of Chaudhry Aslam in a suicide car blast in Karachi.
Sources said Irfan Bahadur, a closed aide of the slain anti-terror cop, has also served as SSP Hyderabad and SSP Anti-Encroachment Cell in Karachi.
Rao Anwaar Khan has been appointed as SSP Hyderabad after Iran Bahadur’s transfer.
On the other hand, investigation is underway to track down Chaudhry’s killers. Authorities have decided to seek US intelligence agency’s assistance in this regard.
