Manchester: As day 5 was ruined by rain, Australia and the host England staled with a draw in the 3rd Ashes test played at Old Trafford.
Australia declared its second inning without facing a ball on the 5th day after scoring 172 runs on loss of 7 wickets. England need 331 runs to win the 3rd test. Aussies manage to take 3 wickets early in the second innings of England but rain interrupted the match. England made 37 in 20.3 overs on loss of 3 wickets.
Ryan Harris took 2 wickets while Peter Siddle mange to find one wicket for Australia.
Earlier: Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. Australia made 527 runs thanks to skipper Michael Clarke’s great knock of 187 with half centuries of Steven Smith and Chris Roger.
Graeme Swann took 5 wickets for England.
England in reply made 368 runs. Kevin Pieterson made a brilliant century including half centuries Alastair Cook and Ian Bell.
Peter Siddle took 4 wickets for Australia.
England Still lead the five matches series 2-0.
