Ex-Miss Venezuela Monica Spear Mootz shot dead with husband

Former Miss Venezuela, actress and beauty queen Monica Spear Mootz was shot to death with her ex-husband named Henry Thomas Berry during a highway robbery after their car broke down on vacation, police said Tuesday. Monica Spear Mootz, 29, had starring roles in several telenovelas and was Miss Venezuela in 2004. Her former husband was identified as Henry Thomas Berry, 39. Six dead bodies found near shrine in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have found dead bodies of six men with their throats slit have been found near a shrine on the outskirts of Karachi on Tuesday. The corpses were lying near the shrine of Ayub Shah Bukhari. Three of the dead worked at the shrine while the others were frequent visitors. The killed persons were identified as Munawar, Abid, Ramzan and Salim. Police said a note reading “Stop visiting shrines — from the Pakistani Taliban” was found at the scene along with a bloodstained knife.
