Iran monthly paying rebels in US dollars: claims Yemen newspaper

SANAA: Yemen’s famous news paper claimed that Iran is paying monthly fee to Houthi rebels in dollars to fight against local government and its forces. According to ‘Yemen 24′, Iran has given the responsibility to distribute the payment among the rebels to Hezbollah’s Abu Mustafa. The groups who are in favour of Houthi rebels also get thousands of dollars monthly. Opposition demands APC over Yemen crisis

KARACHI: A joint resolution read at the end of an opposition parties’ meeting held on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Yemen called for a peaceful solution to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, and demanded that the government should hold an All Parties Conference (APC) before taking a stance on the issue. ICC to reassess Hafeez’s action on April 9

LAHORE: Suspended Pakistan all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez will undergo official testing of his bowling action in India in the next week. The Pakistan Cricket Board said on Wednesday the ICC will retest Hafeez at Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai on April 9. Hafeez was suspended from bowling after he was reported during a Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November as the off-spinner’s elbow exceeded beyond the allowed 15-degree limit during a Test in London. Kyle Mills announces retirement from all cricket

AUCKLAND: New Zealand star fast bowler Kyle Mills has announced his retirement from all cricket, following his team-mate Daniel Vettori in departing the game after the World Cup. Nepra announces cut in power tariff rates

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Tuesday notified a Rs1.23 per unit decrease in electricity rates for consumers of K-Electric and a Rs2.08 per unit slash in the rates for consumers of all other distribution companies (Discos). The fuel adjustments worth Rs13 billion would be passed on to consumers during the billing month of April 2015 out of which Rs1 billion would be received by K-Electric users and Rs12 billion would be passed on to users of all other Discos. The rate-cut would not apply on those users who consume less than 50 units of electricity per month. Four death row convicts hanged across Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Four death row convicts were executed in different cities across Punjab early Tuesday morning. A death row convict Ikramul Haq was hanged to death in District Jail Attock, Ameen was hanged in Rawalpindi city’s Adiala Jail, Hubdar Shah was hanged to death in Mianwali Central Jail and Muhammad Riaz was hanged in Sargodha Jail.
