CHRISTCHURCH: Moeen Ali’s brilliant hand with both bat and bowl helped England to gain their first victory of the tournament after facing two defeats in a row. The match became one sided as Scotland’s bating was destroyed against England’s bowling on Monday at Hagley Oval. KARACHI: Justice Retired Rana Bhagwan Das has passed away in the local hospital, local media reported.  According to reports, he was getting cardiac treatment in a private hospital while he passed away earlier today (Monday). Eight persons kill as van catches fire in Noriabad

HYDERABAD: As many as Eight persons were killed and 13 others injured after Van caught fire in result of cylinder blast on Sunday night near Noriabad, Dunya News reported. According to the reports, the unfortunate van was coming to Hyderabad from Karachi. Cylinder of the van blasted resulted into heavy fire which killed as many as eight people and 13 others injured. Police said that injured were being shifted to Karachi. PTI starts campaign to plant one billion trees in KP

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that he is going to a start a campaign to plant one billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Student pilot safely lands F-16 jet – despite losing half a wing in mid-air

OKLAHOMA: A student pilot who had lost half of F-16’s wing after collision with another  F-16 landed the jet safely to the base. The incident happened last year, when the F-16Cs assigned to the Tulsa Air National Guard collided during a training mission near Moline on October 20, 2014, during an air combat maneuver training mission. The U.S. Air Force released a report on the crash on Friday. NADRA decides to conduct biometric verification of NICs  

ISLAMABAD: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has decided to conduct biometric verification of National Identity Cards (NIC). According to sources, SIMs verification will be done after the biometric verification of NICs. Those citizens, who get their NIC issued on the year 2004 or below, will have to remake their NIC, informed source.
