Islamabad: A special court today (Friday) is due to formally charge former military ruler Pervez Musharraf with high treason in a case that could carry the death penalty or life in prison.  Justice Faisal Arab of the Sindh High Court (SHC) will head the special court which will include Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) and Justice Yawar Ali of the Lahore High Court (LHC) as its members. The latest warrant was issued last week. It alleges that Musharraf violated the constitution by imposing emergency rule in November 2007.
