Anti-polio campaign starts in Khyber Agency despite polio workers strike

Khyber Agency: A three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign has been started in Khyber Agency despite strike by the polio workers due to security threats here on Monday. A ban on pillion-riding was imposed by the local administration of Khyber Agency as part of security arrangements for the anti-polio vaccination campaign. According to reports, the campaign started in Jamrud, Landi Kotal and Bara, areas of Khyber Agency. Key meeting of corps commanders conference today

Rawalpindi: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will chair Conference of the Corps Commanders at the GHQ in Rawalpindi here on today (Monday). According to the DG ISPR, Maj Gen. MQM groom arrest: AIG announces cash reward, certificates for police team

KARACHI: Additional Inspector General Karachi Shahid Hayat has announced to give cash reward and certificates to the police team which arrested the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activist Fahad Aziz, local television reported. According local Urdu television Dunya News, disclosing the arrest of Fahad, the police said that the accused was involved in several murder and other cases, adding that further investigation are being carried out. Karachi police arrest MQM groom from his wedding

KARACHI: Police have allegedly arrested a groom during his wedding ceremony in Karachi on Friday, family claim. According to local media, the family of the groom, Fahad, have claimed that the members of the law enforcement agency raided their wedding procession when they were going to get the bride in Shah Faisal colony of the city. ISTANBUL: Turkey scrambled two F-16 jets Friday to force down an airliner from Ukraine when an apparently drunk would-be hijacker ordered it to Sochi where the Winter Olympics opening ceremony was underway.
