US overturns Apple ban in blow to Samsung

WASHINGTON: The United States on Saturday overturned a quasi- judicial trade panel’s ban on the sale of some Apple products in a blow to rival Samsung. US Trade Representative Michael Froman announced the move against the International Trade Commission in a letter, saying he decided to “disapprove” the exclusion order. Apple iPhone 6, iPhone Light or iPhone 5s? Parts leak shows no fingerprint scanner

As Apple will be releasing a new iPhone in the coming weeks, several alleged parts of iPhone 5S have been leaked including the SIM card slot. It’s not confirmed yet the next device will be the iPhone 6, iPhone Light or iPhone 5S. The leaks released by bizarrely named TechKiddy blog, does not include oft-rumoured fingerprint scanner. The iPhone 5S’s SIM card holder is identical to the iPhone 5 but the charger connector flex looks like any other circuitry.  Other parts leaked by the website show the speaker flex, Wi-Fi flex, on/off cable and vibrator module. Racial slur video: Philadelphia Eagles’ Riley Cooper seeking counseling

The Philadelphia Eagles said receiver Riley Cooper, who has been enveloped by controversy after saying a racial slur that was caught on video, would seek counseling. “As we have said, Riley Cooper will be seeking counseling and we have excused him from all team activities,” the Eagles said in a statement. “This is all new territory and we are going to evaluate this timetable every step of the way. Vietnam to clamp down on social media news postings

HANOI: Communist Vietnam is to ban bloggers and social media users from sharing news stories online, under a new decree seen as a further crackdown on online freedom. BT launches sports TV channels to challenge Sky

BT, the Telecoms giant, has launched its UK sports channels in a challenge to the two-decades-long sports-TV dominance of Sky, BBC reports. Sky has already seen off ITV Digital, Setanta and ESPN, which all temporarily entered the pay-TV football market.
